dfx.jpgSt. Clair Software has released a new update (4.01) to it's premiere must-have product for Mac users, Default Folder X.

Highlights include:

- An option to display the toolbar as a gray sidebar if you don't like
the new HUD look in version 4.
- The preview generator has been rewritten to make Default Folder X
much faster and less resource-hungry.
- Navigating with the keyboard works more smoothly.
- Standard copy/paste command keys work for Spotlight comments.

News: Apple Will Support Third Party Apps on iPhone

apple-iphone.jpgSteve Jobs has blessed us with another 'open letter' proclaiming that Apple does want third party applications on this incredible platform. The SDK (system developers kit) will be introduced in February 2008, which will allow developers to easily produce applications for the iPhone, while keeping the security of the phone in tact. News: Apple Updates iPhoto, Boot Camp, iMovie, and more!

It's been a busy week for Apple. Here are a few things you need to be aware of. Running software update will take of most of them. If not, direct download them here. Not listed, but appeared on our system was a Front Row update to allow support for the new iPhoto 7 features.

News: Apple Releases OS 10.4.10 Update

Apple released the latest iteration of it's updates for Mac OS X Tiger.  10.4.10 addresses several OS fixes and compatibility updates. 

Highlights include:

- RAW camera support

- Mounting and unmounting external USB devices
