Q: I have my Mac Mini running OS X Leopard connected to my Home Theater system. I use front row to playback photos and videos, but the sound effects are too loud coming through my Hi-Fi system. Is there a way to turn them down or disable them? Kevin W., Indianapolis, IN A: Yes, it's very easy to simply disable the Front Row sound effects through System Preferences.
How to do it:
1. Go to the system preferences 'Apple Menu -> System Preferences'
2. Choose 'Sound'.
3. Select the 'Sound Effects' tab and then remove the check mark next to 'Play Front Row sound effects'.
