Icons can get pretty messy in the Icon view. However, it's simple to clean them up.

How to do it:

1. Open a Finder window. Press COMMAND-1 or click the ICON view icon

2. Hold down CONTROL and click in the window. Choose Clean Up from the contextual menu.

Note: Tiger Users - go to the VIEW menu and choose 'CLEAN UP'

3. Enjoy your cleaner window!
