Mac Tip #15 - Locking your files

You can add a padlock to your files or folders, which will keep them from being deleted. Choose the file or folder you want, then 'Get Info'

Next, Click the box next to 'Locked' and Lock it!

Notice the item you locked, it now has a 'Padlock' on the lower left hand side of the icon.

You are unable to move it to the trash... just what we wanted!
