Mac Tips Daily! #96 - Customizing Mail
Monday, June 1, 2009 at 9:23AM
Do you ever need to add the BCC field or some other features to Mail.app ? Don't like hunting for them? Customize your new message preferences, and make your life easier and more productive.
Here is how to do it:
Open 'Mail'
Next, press 'COMMAND + N' to create a 'New Message'
On the new message window, on the left, click on the drop down arrow with 3 lines next to it. Choose 'Customize'.
Now, add check marks next to all of the fields you want to appear when you are creating a new message.
In this image, I have the 'CC:' (carbon copy) field, 'Account' - since I have multiple email accounts, and 'Signature'.
The ones that are grayed out are not able to be changed -- they are defaults, and must be present.
