Spotlight can index your deepest darkest secrets on your Mac. That's great, if you want to find them quickly. What if you don't want them to be found during a spotlight search?
Here is how to do it:
Open System Preferences (Apple menu -> System Preferences)
Next, choose 'Spotlight'
Now, select the 'Privacy' tab. Then add any folders you don't want indexed by Spotlight.
You can directly drag/drop them into the window, or click the '+' sign to navigate to a particular folder.
Now, Spotlight will re-index you whole hard drive, eliminating any traces of the info from it's memory.
