Mac Tips Daily! # 179 - The Help Viewer

Did you know that the Help Viewer app keeps available the library of help files from the applications that support the OS X Help system? This is great, since you don't have to open the app to access the help file. Here is how to do it: Click on the 'Finder' on your dock to make it the active application. finder Next, go to the Finder menu at the top of the screen and choose 'HELP -> Mac Help'. help Now, the Help Viewer is the active application. Go to the menu at the top of the screen, and choose 'Library'. You will see a list of the help files you can access. Your list will be different than mine, depending on what apps you have installed.
