Mac Tips Daily! #167 - Finder Toolbar Icon Resizing

Mac OS X lets you customize the Finder quite a bit. Here is a quick tip for resizing the icons on your Finder toolbar. Here is how to do it: Open a 'Finder' window by clicking on the Finder icon on the dock. Finder Next, hold down 'COMMAND' and 'CLICK' on the oval shaped icon in the top right side of the Finder window. Notice your icons will start to cycle through various shapes and then finally into text, and then back to normal. Keep clicking until you get the affect you want. Finder - No text Notice in the picture below, there are no icons on the toolbar.. just clickable text. Finder - No icons
