Mac Tips Daily! #118 - Preview Text Tool

You know that you can copy and paste, but did you know you could copy text from a PDF file that you are viewing in Preview? This can be very useful, especially if you want to send a snippet to someone via email, or post into another document. Here is how: Open a PDF file with 'Preview'. Then press 'Command-2'. This activates the 'Text tool'. Simply select some text with your mouse. Then press ' Command-C ' to copy it to the clipboard. preview tools Now, open the document or email message you want to paste it into, and press 'Command - V' to paste the text into the document. paste
