Mac Tips Daily! #113 - Locate Files With Spotlight
Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 1:03PM
When you search for a file with spotlight, you goal may not be to open it, but rather just find out where the file is on your hard drive.
Here is how to do it:
Search for something with 'Spotlight'. In my example, I searched for the new 'Get A Mac' commercials I downloaded onto my hard drive.
Now, simple hold down 'Command' and 'Click' on the file you want.
A 'Finder' window will open, and the file will be selected.
Now that you know where it is, you can copy, delete, email it... whatever.
