Mac Tips Daily! #113 - Locate Files With Spotlight

When you search for a file with spotlight, you goal may not be to open it, but rather just find out where the file is on your hard drive. Here is how to do it: Search for something with 'Spotlight'. In my example, I searched for the new 'Get A Mac' commercials I downloaded onto my hard drive. spotlight search Now, simple hold down 'Command' and 'Click' on the file you want. A 'Finder' window will open, and the file will be selected. finder Now that you know where it is, you can copy, delete, email it... whatever.
