If the PDF file contains images, you can squeeze the file size down quite a bit, and the recipient of the file will be pleased. Here is how to do it: Open the Print Dialog from any application. Usually it's under the 'File -> Print' menu. Next, click on the PDF button. Choose 'Compress PDF' An automator work flow will now start and compress the file. It will compress any images that are embedded into the PDF. Once it's complete, choose a name and location.
