Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10:01PM
These days, who want's to type in the http://www.insertsitehere.com into the address bar? Browsers are much smarter now, and can go to sites without all of the extra details.
Simply type in the site your want to go to. Want to go to Google? type in: google
There are a few caveats. For example, it only works with domains that end in '.com'
For example, you have to type in the domain suffix if it doesn't end in .com -- and there are plenty of them these days.
To go to my site, type in 'thinkmac.net'.
This is still a shortcut, even if you have to type in the '.' and a few extra characters.
