Minimize with the Title Bar - Mac Tips Daily! #298

Have you ever accidentally minimized a window in Mac OS X? This can be quite annoying and you have to go all the way down to the dock to maximize the window again, since the COMMAND-TAB trick doesn't work with items on the dock. Chances are that you were trying to click on something but accidentally double clicked the title bar of the window. By default this automatically minimizes the window to the dock.

Disabling this feature is very easy.

Here is how to do it:

1. Go to the Apple menu and choose System Preferences. 2. Next click on Appearance 3. Now uncheck the option 'Minimize when double clicking a window title bar' To enable this feature again, simply reapply the checkmark.
