Software Update - Mac OS X 10.5.6 Now available!

Software Update.pngApple releases the new 10.5.6 update -- continues to be vague in the details.

The update is recommended for all Mac OS X Leopard users.
Products affected:
Mail, Mac OS X 10.5, iCal 3.x, MobileMe Sync, iChat, AirPort, Safari

You can get the update from Software Update, but if you have a broadband connection, I always recommend getting the full Combo update. I have found doing this is much more reliable and helps eliminate problems other users might encounter. READ MORE »

My first computer? An NCR Punch Tape Terminal with a phone cradle connection to the University Of Louisville Speed School mainframe.

Yep, it was the old days, 1974 to be exact. The terminal was a large, hulking machine with a typewriter keyboard. And since computer time was so expensive, you would actually create your program (we used BASIC) by typing it on the keyboard. As you typed, it would punch holes in the 2-inch wide paper tape.
