In the latest version of Safari (version 3), Apple added a feature Firefox users have long been using.... the ability to restore your last browsing session.

1. Open 'Safari

2. Now, go to the 'HISTORY' menu and choose 'Reopen all windows from last session'. Now all of the windows and their associated tabs you had open the last time you ran Safari will open back up. READ MORE »

In the latest version of Safari, version 3, it adds a newly enhanced FIND command. Simply go to a web page of your choice, press COMMAND F and then the FIND search box will appear below your address bar. Start typing in what you are looking for and you will see the words begin to become highlighted if they are found on that page.

Next to the search box it will tell you how many results it finds and you can also click the left/right arrows next to that box to move through the results. READ MORE »

safari.pngIn Mac OS X Leopard, the Spotlight search has been greatly improved. One thing that it does now is bring up your Safari web surfing history in the search results. For whatever reason, you may want to keep that history private, and not have your web browsing history show up in your spotlight results.

How to do it:

safari.pngKicking off our first Leopard tip, we will start with something useful in Safari -- rearranging tabs. Something Firefox users may already be familiar with is now joining us in Safari.

Let's get to it:

1. Open Safari

2. Open a few tabs by pressing Command-T

Note: You need at least two open, or there is no way to use this tip.

3. Click and drag a tab to the left or right, and the other tabs will move out of the way. Once it's in the spot you like, release the mouse button. READ MORE »

Finder Have you every downloaded a file, and then forgot where you downloaded it from? Maybe your friend asks you for the link, but you can't find it.

With some Mac OS X compatible browsers, they provide an easy way to tell where your file came from.

Here is how to do it:

1. Download a file with 'Safari'. In my example on the podcast, I downloaded 'Skype'.

2. After your download is done, you will end up with a file on your hard drive. Mine was a .DMG file (yours may vary, depending on what you downloaded).
