Have you ever wanted to use one of the icons in OS X for your own use? Maybe you want to add it to a document or use it as an image on your blog. Here is a quick and easy method to take an icon and turn it into a 128x128 image.

You can save a bundle on paper by printing to PDF files instead of using your printer. Sometimes you may want to email a PDF or post it on the web. If the PDF file contains images, you can squeeze the file size down quite a bit, and the recipient of the file will be pleased.

Here is how to do it:

Open the Print Dialog from any application.

You know that you can copy and paste, but did you know you could copy text from a PDF file that you are viewing in Preview? This can be very useful, especially if you want to send a snippet to someone via email, or post into another document.

Here is how:

Open a PDF file with 'Preview'. Then press 'Command-2'. This activates the 'Text tool'. Simply select some text with your mouse. Then press ' Command-C ' to copy it to the clipboard.
