News: SDK Delayed? Houdah Thunk it?
Houda thought that Houdah Software would offer a free update to their file search utility HoudaSpot. With version 2.1, try out the new BlitzSearch feature; it lets you start your search as conveniently as Spotlight does. If you've tried HoudaSpot before, you know that it is everything that Spotlight SHOULD be, but isn't.
Since we are talking about useful products, I can't forget to mention Paperclip, it's now is version 1.1, which is a free upgrade to existing customers. Imagine having sticky notes on application windows. When you open that window again, the sticky note comes back. It's a great way to jot down notes and keep yourself on task for specific items. Try the free Leopard only demo.
Potentially disappointing news is that the iPhone SDK may be delayed until March. BusinessWeek is making a claim in it's Byte of the Apple Blog saying that the SDK is quite an arduous task and is extremely complex to deploy. They are speculating that it's between one to three weeks before we might see it. Let's hope this isn't true... but I have a feeling that it is. I imagined that Apple would offer a special event introducing the SDK, and so far, no reports of that happening. At least tomorrow is Tuesday, and they have been regularly releasing new items this month on Tuesdays. Fingers crossed.
