News: Updated Airport Extreme, Mac Mini, and iLife 08' Upgrade

While iLife 08 and the new iMac were the star of the show today, Apple slipped in a few other little upgrades. Contrary to rumors, Mac Mini is not gone. In fact, it's been refreshed with a nice little processor upgrade & updated memory. Now the Mac Mini comes standard with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 1GB of memory. Additional options are available, depending on your configuration.

Most exciting to me is the much needed update of the AirPort Extreme. When Apple introduced this base station this year, they forgot one little thing. Gigabit Etherenet! Well, it's now available. Other specs remain the same.

Are you disgruntled because you just bought a Mac and there is no iLife 08' on it? Don't worry... Apple has you covered for a nominal fee of $9.95. The iLife Up-To-Date program offers the ability to get iLife 08' for qualifying purchases made on or after August 7, 2007. Personally I think it should be free.... Visit the up to date website.
