Review: Spire's Endo Laptop Bag

The bag I’m reviewing is the Spire Endo Courier bag for medium sized laptops. I got my first laptop, a G4 iBook, 14", a couple of years ago. When I ordered it, I also ordered a padded laptop sleeve, to use with my back pack. It has been useful, it’s even saved my laptop on a short drop at airport security. Still, it’s far from perfect for my needs and apart from a few quick trials with other bags, I haven’t found something to replace what I have now. READ MORE »

Review: iGo Power Solutions

Is there anything worse than getting where ever you are going and realizing that you’ve left the power cord for your laptop at home? That happened to me this weekend and my solution was the Radio Shack iGo Power solution.
I became familiar with the brilliant iGo system when I had to replace my cell phone’s car charger. At the time, my cell phone was still a dark ages phone, so I went where I always go for harder to find electronic parts. I’ve been a Radio Shack fan since the Tandy and Electronic Lab Kits of my childhood days. When I got there, I learned someone had finally figured out that consumers would happily buy a cord that can charge more than one of the ubiquitous devices we carry. READ MORE »
Review: iLap Laptop Stand
Some Like It Hot!
If you've got a MacBook you’ll know what I mean when I say ‘Some like it hot!’. In fact anyone who uses a laptop (it’s by no means exclusive to Apple) on their lap will be aware that things get hot , hot, hot! Slap two of these together and you could be cranking out pop tarts at volcanic temperatures. (George Foreman watch out – I can see it now, the iGrill).
Of course if you use your laptop on a desk you will be unaware of this ‘hidden bonus feature’. But if you’re like me and sit watching TV on the sofa and whilst surfing it can be a problem.
OK, I’ve exaggerated a little for dramatic purposes, but the point I am trying to make is that even through normal everyday clothes, there is definitely a burning sensation when using your MacBook on your lap for any prolonged length of time.
So what are your options? READ MORE »

Designer Lexie Barnes has introduced her new line of women's Macbook & Macbook Pro bags for 2007. We recently received a sample of the 'Echo 13' in the Viona pattern. Our first impressions are very good. Well crafted, bold prints, and portable are the adjectives that immediately came to our mind.
The bag has a slim form factor, with an external pocket for your power supply & accessories, and a rear slip pocket that will fit your folders & magazines. To provide protection for your computer, they have a closed cell foam padding, which provides a fair amount of protection against damage. READ MORE »
