Some Like It Hot!

If you've got a MacBook you’ll know what I mean when I say ‘Some like it hot!’. In fact anyone who uses a laptop (it’s by no means exclusive to Apple) on their lap will be aware that things get hot , hot, hot! Slap two of these together and you could be cranking out pop tarts at volcanic temperatures. (George Foreman watch out – I can see it now, the iGrill).

Of course if you use your laptop on a desk you will be unaware of this ‘hidden bonus feature’. But if you’re like me and sit watching TV on the sofa and whilst surfing it can be a problem.

OK, I’ve exaggerated a little for dramatic purposes, but the point I am trying to make is that even through normal everyday clothes, there is definitely a burning sensation when using your MacBook on your lap for any prolonged length of time.

Rounding out the MacCase reviews is the MacCase Pro Sleeve Stealth - Custom sleeve for the 15.4 inch MacBook Pro

The folks at MacCase were also kind enough to send me one of their brand new sleeves that custom fit Apple's new MacBook Pro 15.4 inch model. It's designed just like the one that came in the MacPack Combo, except for one thing. It's all Black - Stealth Black, as they have named it. Currently, they are available in this 'Stealth Black' , or in a 'Pure Silver' model (the silver name isn't as catchy as 'stealth').

These cases are attractive and have the signature MacCase transparent window so you can show off your Apple Logo. On the reverse side, you have the mesh window for cooling down your MacBook. As any owner of a MacBook Pro 15 inch knows, heat is an issue, so any help you can provide for cooling these machines down is mandatory.

Inside the sleeves is a soft velvety padded fabric that will keep your Mac scratch free. You don't have to worry about zippers scratching up your machine either, because the flap that covers the end of the case is outfitted with a tough strip of velcro. READ MORE »
