Air Sharing is a great application for storing data on your iPhone/iPod Touch and a great way to view that data on the go. With the ability to have up to 32gb of Data in our pockets at all times, applications like this will become more relevant. You will not need a separate usb thumb drive in your pocket as long as you have this application. The operation is quite simple; once your iPhone or iPod are on a wi-fi network, the application provides you the ability to store data via your web browswer by using the IP address of your device and a predefined port.  Air Sharing is available in a regular version and a pro version, details of both are below.

With Air Sharing, you can:

• Mount your iPhone or iPod touch as a wireless drive on any Mac, Windows, or Linux computer.
• Drag-drop files between your iPhone or iPod touch and your computers.
• View documents in many common formats.

Air Sharing pro allows the features above with additional features such as the ability to mount your device as an iDisk so you can access it as you would a hard disk.  The pro version also allows you to print and email documents right from your iPhone or iPod Touch. 

There are many applications that give you this ability but Air Sharing has one added advantage, it can open files on your iPhone/iPod.  For example, if you save an Excel file on to your device you are able to view it and use the multi-touch features of the iPhone/iPod to zoom in and out, move around, etc...  There is only one reason that I would not rate the 5/5, why not have one application instead of having a regular version and a pro version for more $.  I would much rather pay in between $4.99 and $9.99 and get the best of both worlds.
