Firmware 2.0, iTunes 7.7, and of course.. the App Store
It's live! You can update your iPhone & iPod Touch to the latest and greatest from Apple. As I am browsing the new Application store, there are tons of great apps. Some cool ones are exactly what you would expect - Facebook, AIM, Evernote, etc.
The great news is that many of these are free. Just browsing the applications I have seen several exciting offerings, such as Pandora, AOL Radio, Chimps Ahoy!, and more. There are so many, it will certainly take awhile for me to check out all of the applications. Simply browsing through the free list, it looks like we will have some duds in there too. READ MORE »
WWDC 08 Coverage
Today is the day of the keynote for WWDC 2008! It's an exciting day for Mac fans, as we get to see what Steve Jobs is going to offer up to us to enhance our Apple experience. We are pretty sure we are getting a new iPhone today, but how about a new sneak peek at some iPhone apps. Perhaps a preview of some features in an upcoming version of Mac OS X?

My Predictions
- 16 GB version @ $299; 32GB version @ $399.
- Rear has an anodized aluminum, like the Nanos, and available in a few colors.
- Some sort of subsidy, which will be maybe $100-$150 off carrier dependent.
- No iPhone on sale until the middle of June.
- New syncing service.. with a monthly fee of course.
iPhone 3G imminent
By now I think it's very clear that a new version of the iPhone will be debuting very soon. All of the signs point to it.
- iPhone is out of stock in several countries.
- Screenshots of the SDK show an option to disable 3G data.
- WWDC is coming in June, and it's a prefect spot to debut it.
- iPhone firmware 2.0 is coming in June along with 3rd part apps.
- AT&T and other partners have as much as admitted it.
While this new version will probably be full of new features, people will always want more. This next iPhone is going to be what everyone wanted it to be last year. Will this satisfy most people? Nope. No matter how awesome this phone is, and how many features it has... it's always going to be missing one -- a physical keyboard. For me, it's a tradeoff I am willing to make. READ MORE »

Everything You Need to Know about iPhone 1.1.3
Everything You Need to Know about iPhone 1.1.3: "
With Apple's just-released upgrade, the iPhone (and iPod touch) software moves from version 1.1.2 to 1.1.3. Given the small numerical increment, you'd be justified in thinking this was only a minor maintenance update. If so, you'd be wrong. In fact, version 1.1.3 introduces a collection of new features that outpace all the changes in the previous updates combined. Here's the lowdown on what's up with 1.1.3.
