Force Spotlight to Re-Index OS X

Ready to dig deep into the terminal? Well, not too deep -- it's just a couple of commands.

1. Launch Terminal, found in your Utilities folder.

2. Type: sudo mdutil -E /

3. Enter your admin password.

Spotlight will now re-index OS X.  This is useful when it Spotlight isn't finding the files you expect it to.
