There are a few little apps on my Mac that I really don't want to live without. They may not fit everyone's MUST HAVE list, but they get me through my day with ease. I challenge you to try them all and let me know if you love them as much as I do.

Some people use Delicious or other apps to keep track of their bookmarks. I prefer this one because it's quick, easy, and does exactly what I need it to do. When I come across a website I want to take note of, I click on my bookmarklet 'Webnote It' and it launches the app very quickly and adds it to the database. From there, I can add notes and tag it. When I move from computer to computer, I can simply export my data and take it with me. I literally have almost 2,000 bookmarks in this database and it opens as quick as it did the day I downloaded it. Speed is everything. If you want some more bells and whistles and Delicious integration, check out their PAID version. For me, the FREE one works just fine.

Have you ever been watching a video on Hulu, only to have your Mac screen dim and then you have to jiggle the mouse? How about when you are trying to burn a DVD and you are afraid your Mac will go to sleep during the creation process? Caffeine is a little cup of coffee that sits in the menubar and keeps my Mac from taking a snooze. It's free and I love it. I tried Jiggler before, but I am hooked on my Caffeine.

3. Default Folder X

This is a classic program that ALL Macs should be equipped with. You can configure a default folders for each application. THe days of navigating through a difficult hierarchy are gone. Once you start using this, it makes you wonder why the Finder doesn't have it built it. This is probably used more often than anything but the Finder on my Mac. Each time I open or save, Default Folder X is there to assist. A MUST have for every Mac.
