pq128.pngThe guys from Acqualia software have released the latest version of Picturesque. Updates include:
- a totally new engine rewritten especially for OS X Leopard, using Core Animation.
- 3D Perspective effect
- Creation of presets
- All-in-one interface
- Lots more

The update to version 2.0 is a paid upgrade. If you are still using Tiger, you will need to use the older version. The good news is.... it's pretty fantastic too.

We'll have an updated review in the coming weeks.

I played with this at Macworld Expo.. and it is a very refined application for creating incredible looking comics. Tons of great templates and the ease of use that Plasq does so well is sure to make this one a winner.

Pricing is set at an introductory $39.95 ($5 off the regular price), but if you received Comic Life on your Mac, you can get a cross-grade it for $19.95.

nnw.pngToday NewsGator announced that they are now giving away (for free!!) NetNewswire 3.1, FeedDemon 2.6, and NewsGator GO! for Windows Mobile 2.0. The only notable one of interest for Mac users is the ubiquitous RSS feed reader NetNewsWire.

If you haven't been using NetNewsWire for all of your RSS needs, be sure to download it. It's the highest rated and renowned as the best RSS reader on the Mac! It's the one I use every day and couldn't keep up on all of the Mac news without it. READ MORE »

My favorite Safari plug-in is back... and ready for Leopard. Oh how I have missed it...
They Say "
Inquisitor 3. Spotlight for the web.: "
Inquisitor... it's like Spotlight for the web.

Start typing and websites pop up immediately, along with ideas to refine your search.

It'll autocomplete your words (is it reading your mind?) and you can add more search engines to Safari with customized keyboard shortcuts.

Oh, and it's free."
